Last time I talked about the importance of planning our days to help productivity. But what if we lack the motivation? Something that is important is reflection!

We must really use this time now to self reflect. It was really easy before to go through our daily motions, from assignment to assignment at university from shift to shift at work etc. Mindlessly going through our activities without time to think and reflect. Even when we would be travelling we would always be listening to something.
Even when we are waiting for the bus we run to our phones to check when the next bus is coming, scrolling through our social media feeds. This society encourages us to busy ourselves and to fear the reflection leading to almost fear the silence.
It is almost like we dont want to have uninterruped silence just to reflect about what we are doing. Prophet muhammad saw would spend time alone in mount hira in reflection even before revelation. We may not have a cave to go to, but maybe we can make a metaphorical one where ever we may be in isolation and just contemplate and reflect.
I think especially times like this, we just need time on our own, to think, what is our reality. What are we doing here? Why am I here? What got to me where I am now? Where do I want to go, where will I end up going? Was I created with a greater purpose?

Now is a time to either really affirm our answers to these questions, and reflect on our them, do my answers make sense?
Then, what we need to do or want to do with our time will come very naturally afterwards. This is the strongest place our motivation can come from.
